Teenager in Puberty

About two years ago I incidentally met a teenager and his group he used to stay with. At that time he had very little to say as the group was led by another one. So at least it appeared to me. Whatever the reason for the subjugation was it caused an emotional aggressive, defaming others to as well physical drastic and harsh behavior. This apparently wasn’t often directed against the supposedly leader of the group but mostly against the other members. At least for me quickly the structure of the group was very easy to identify.

In the course of time just little seemed to happen, as result of a kind of hidden development finally the situation changed. From the outside subsequently solely the results were to observe but not the process itself. Appropriately a for example change towards a clear refusal and dissociation of the world of adults took place. The upcoming conflicts were resolved through internal measures and not by taking outer factors into account but by excluding them. This way certainly I had less access to the groups and its members. Of course I accepted this change as a normal development process and reduced my already infrequently presence more and more.

Since the particular distance towards the group grew the time spans I got in contact with them increased as well. But that didn’t matter because the developments were nonetheless to detect for skilled ones like me. So meanwhile the absolute leadership position of the former leader subsequently became less important. He nevertheless was still respected but the relevance of his leadership seemed to be weakened. That especially showed up in a more balanced behavior of the particular members: In total it turned out to be more comfortable for me as outsider.

During my last meeting with the teenager I was and still are positively surprised about his masculine appearance. I even felt a kind of beauty in him, yet within the group. Still there were authoritarian, so analogous untouchable forms of being, but not that childish any more, somehow more mature in its presence. With this statement I want to express that the meeting with the adolescent was more relaxed as it was more reasonable. In my opinion this kind of developments are important not only to distance oneself from the complex and manifold world around but in contrary to remain in contact with the fellow men. Accordingly not only for him but for all of them new perspectives emerged as final result.
